Ludwig Introduces Retro Fab Four Drum Outfits

Combining the styling of yesterday with the technology of today, Ludwig has introduced a unique and very limited edition drum outfit appropriately named Fab Four. Ludwig’s Classic Maple Series drums have been configured into a '60s style outfit, reminiscent of former Beatle Ringo Starr's famous Ludwig drum outfit. Built for the collector and gigging drummer, the new Fab Four outfit has the same vintage-style '60s era Oyster Black Pearl finish, and includes a Ludwig 90th Anniversary badge. Only 45 of each model will be made.

“The Fab Four outfits are unique and exclusive and offer collectors an opportunity to own a part of Ludwig’s history,” explained Jim Catalano, marketing manager. “The drums are ready for performance, they look great, and have that special sound that’s expected from Ludwig.”

Two models are available. Model L9004LM0Q includes a 14"x20" bass drum with vintage style disappearing spurs, 14"x14" floor tom, 8"x12" tom, and 5"x 14" matching snare drum. Model L9024LM0Q includes a 14"x22" bass drum, 16"x16" floor tom, 9"x13" tom, and 6.5"x14" snare drum. Both models feature Ludwig Classic 800 Series single brace hardware, the popular L201 Speed King Pedal, and the Ludwig single tom holder system. Shells are all maple 9-ply, 6mm. The Ludwig vintage script bass drum logo is on the front white bass drum head. The remaining batter heads are Ludwig Weather Master medium coated heads. Each bass drum has a brass serial number plate with the number of each outfit.
